1 Who I Am
Since the early 1980s, I have worked on conceptualizing dis-continuum physics, which is usually expressed without the dash symbol, as discontinuum physics (DCP). Currently, I work on the discontinuumphysics.com project with Dr. Iyer (a physicist). I authored two peer-reviewed physics papers that were published in Physics Essays (see Publication List for Papers 1 and 3). I am the lead author of three other peer-reviewed physics papers that were published in Physics Essays (see Publication List for Paper 3, and Papers 4-5). I have a paper about malicious aliens published at arxiv.org (see Publication List). Since 1979, I have been an amateur astronomer specializing in the origin of the universe and the effect that origin has on the universe as it exists today. In the early 1980s, when the Cold War was still going on, I did some work as an investigator hunting spies; although, technically, I was a spy hunting spies (see 4 The Foo Fighter Project).

3 Publication Summaries
In 2021, the peer-reviewed journal Physics Essays published Emory Taylor’s paper “Falsification of Einstein’s relativity.” Taylor explained, in 1952 Einstein wrote his “Note to the Fifteenth Edition” of his book about relativity. It explained why Einstein added the fifth appendix. In 1954, Einstein speculated the continuum concept along with space and time had to be discarded and a discontinuum theory was needed. In 1955, Einstein died. In 1961, an edition of Einstein’s book containing the fifth appendix was published and sold only in the USA. The fifth appendix made it obvious that in Einstein’s book, starting with the 1916 edition, Einstein unknowingly introduced a quantized two-dimensional discontinuum geometry (Q2DDG) that falsified the continuum concept and relativity. This means spacetime must be replaced, Einstein’s relativity is a first approximation of a more fundamental theory, which is likely based on his Q2DDG.

In 2022, Physics Essays published “Rethinking special relativity, spacetime, and proposing a discontinuum” by Taylor and Rajan Iyer. The Einstein – Rosen concept of the continuous field and Einstein’s mass–energy relation and Einstein’s conservation of mass–energy law were used in a three-step process to replace spacetime. Energy represented as matter was translated into an embodied-energy-discontinuous-field (EED-field) that is part-of a disembodied-energy-discontinuous-field (DED-field), which required the existence of an unlimited-disembodied-energy (UDE), a type of vacuum state with a zero net total energy, that becomes the DED-field at the instant an EED-field comes into existence. Were the EED-field to no longer exist the DED-field instantaneously reverts back to the UDE, which remains in existence. The UDE is the fundamental underlying entity, not spacetime. The EED-field and the DED-field are two different discontinuous energy fields that are part-of each other, which is a discontinuous energy fields-field (DEF-field). This DEF-field replaces spacetime.

In 2022, Physics Essays published “Inseparable realities result from the previous falsification of relativity and replacement of spacetime” by Taylor. It was pointed out, since all EED-fields are part-of the DED-field, all EED-fields are part-of each other. There is one EED-field and one DED-field that are inseparable because removing one removes the other. In a scheme where the EED-field represents physical reality, and the DED-field represents nonphysical reality, then (3) the UDE represents no-reality, and (4) physical reality and nonphysical reality are inseparable realities.

In 2022, Physics Essays published “Discontinuum physics leads to a table of realities for making predictions” by Taylor and Iyer. It was pointed out, physics uses five realities: Mathematical reality, continuum reality (physical reality), no-reality, no-continuum reality (nonphysical reality), and discontinuum reality (quantized reality), which has limited continuum reality (limited physical reality) and limited no-continuum reality (limited nonphysical reality) as its two constituents. These realities are arranged into a table of realities (TOR) for making predictions.

In 2023, arXiv.org published Emory Taylor’s paper “Malicious aliens and why Caballero’s estimates about them should be rejected.” Taylor addresses a paper by Alberto Caballero in which Caballero states a methodology for (1) estimating the probability of an exoplanet alien civilization having malicious intentions toward the human civilization after being messaged by it, and (2) estimating the number of malicious exoplanet alien civilizations in the Milky Way. Taylor points out that Caballero’s methodology used at least three questionable hypotheses without stating sound scientific reasons for accepting them, which means these hypotheses and the estimates based on them should be rejected. He also points out that Caballero’s methodology, which is partly based on the human civilization being capable of interstellar travel, should be rejected because it leaves out advancements in physics, extinction events, the instinct and will to survive, and a past finding published in arXiv.org that advised caution for interstellar missions as the capability of interstellar travel might be seen as a threat by an alien civilization.

4 The Foo Fighter Project
I thought it was bogus. The story seemed too good to be true. At the end of WWII, the Allies, especially the USA and USSR, had competed to capture Nazi scientists, especially rocket and atomic scientists. In 1949 and 1950, several Soviet spies (Fuchs, Gold, Sobell, Greenglass, and the Rosenbergs) were arrested for giving the Soviets secret American and British weapons information, during and after WWII, including information about the atomic bomb. In the early 1980s, the end of WWII was 35 years ago. But the USA and the USSR were still engaged in the Cold War. I thought this project was an attempt to get even with the Soviets. Trick them into believing a new super weapon was being developed, let them establish a spy ring, feed them information. Then, when it became obvious the project was bogus, arrest and/or turn all the spies. I liked it.

To make the story short, as WWII was coming to an end, some resistance fighters happened upon a couple of Nazi trucks with some equipment, scientists, and guards not far from the border of Switzerland. The resistance fighters attacked. The Nazi guards were killed, and the Nazi scientists and trucks with equipment were captured. It turned out the Nazi guards were in fact scientists, the equipment was junk, and the whole thing was a ruse so the scientists could get near the Swiss border. There, the trucks, and the junk they contained, would be abandoned. The scientists were going to cross into Switzerland on foot in the night. The scientists told the resistance fighters where the real equipment for a secret weapon was hidden.

According to the Nazi scientists, in 1940, as the Nazis invaded Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, a Heinkel He 11 bomber and an unknown object that glowed, which had appeared out of nowhere, collided and the bomber went down near the city of Essen. When the downed bomber was located, in the wreckage there were several parts that did not belong to the bomber. The Nazi scientists had been trying, without success, to figure out how the parts worked. The resistance fighters contacted the Americans, and an operation was undertaken to get the parts to Switzerland and then to America. When the Americans were unsuccessful at figuring out how the parts worked, the parts were put into storage. Then, in the early 1980s, with the Cold War still going on and after making advancements in physics, the parts were again being worked on, the development of a new super weapon. The parts were from a Foo Fighter. It did not matter to me if the story was true or false. The stage was set. My job was to catch a spy. Of course, afterward, I wondered, “If Foo Fighters are real, how do they work(?); what is the physics behind them?”

5 Emulating Nature
The atomic bombs that the USA detonated in Japan during WWII, and the hydrogen bombs deployed today, emulate nature, at the atomic level, to release huge amounts of energy based on Einstein’s famous equation E = mc2, which means energy and mass are equivalent, and a small amount of mass is equivalent to a huge amount of energy. The processes of fission and fusion are used for these bombs. Today, teams of scientists, mathematicians, and engineers are attempting to build a device to use nuclear fusion to produce clean energy. In the Sun (i.e., a typical star), magnetic fields help to hold the contents (i.e., plasma) in place. The nuclear fusion device needed to produce clean energy uses magnetic fields to suspend plasma within the device so the plasma does not melt the device.

In all three cases (i.e., nuclear bombs, fission power plants, and nuclear fusion power plants), knowledge of how nature works at the atomic level and engineering a device to emulate nature at the atomic level is required.

6 Physics of Basic Foo Fighter (i.e., UFO) Technology
It seemed to me the question to ask is, “Can a Foo Fighter (i.e., UFO) be produced by emulating nature at the atomic level?” UFOs make maneuvers that jet fighters (of 2023) cannot make. These UFO maneuvers would kill a human occupant. This is only true provided the UFO accelerates during the maneuver. In nature, when a photon (i.e., light) is emitted, it does not accelerate from zero speed to speed c, and, when a photon is absorbed, it does not decelerate from speed c to speed zero. Instead, when a photon (i.e., light) is emitted, it instantaneously travels at speed c, and when a photon is absorbed, it instantaneously stops travelling at speed c. This is because light (i.e., photon) has oscillating electric and magnetic fields that propagate at speed c in accordance with Maxwell’s equations. When these electric and magnetic fields are emitted, they oscillate, which means they propagate at speed c, and when they are absorbed, they no longer oscillate, which means they do not propagate at speed c. This ability (i.e., property) of a photon (i.e., light) to move and to stop moving without accelerating (deceleration is an acceleration) is called speed instantaneity. A photon is a subatomic particle. There are many subatomic particles. An electron is also a subatomic particle. According to DCP (i.e., dis-continuum physics), during the atomic energy absorption and emission process (AE-process) the atomic electron undergoes speed instantaneity when the atom absorbs a photon. This does not mean the atomic electron travels at speed c. It means the atomic electron goes from speed zero to some constant speed without accelerating. Two subatomic particles (i.e., photons and electrons) undergo speed instantaneity. Provided all the subatomic particles of an atom are capable of speed instantaneity, such an atom should also be capable of speed instantaneity, which means, by emulating nature, a craft can be built that can maneuver without accelerating. Humans can occupy such a craft without being killed during such maneuvers because the craft does not accelerate. To withstand the stress of making speed instantaneity maneuvers in different directions, the craft should have a spherical shape, or, perhaps, a disk shape.

The explanation of speed instantaneity is not stated in Paper 6 because it is beyond the stated scope of Paper 6; however, speed instantaneity is in Paper 7.

7 Concluding Remarks
Basic Foo Fighter (i.e., UFO) technology is achievable and the nation that achieves it first will reign supreme; therefore, evidence of such technology being used strongly suggests that it is from somewhere other than here --- any nation that has achieved such technology would be using it to impose its will on the world. DCP extends the domain of physics and will likely be rejected by any quantumists (i.e., physicists who believe quantum theory is a fundamental theory). This is because DCP shows that relativity and quantum mechanics are not fundamental theories.
